Guide to keeping everyone safe
The health and wellbeing of our children and staff is very important. Our camp programme is set with specialist coaching days in indoor cricket, football, and court sports. More than ever, the safety and welfare of everyone at Kruger Camp is our number one priority. Our friendly coaches will ensure every session is filled with smiles and fun activities, whilst effectively administering the most up-to-date health and safety guidelines.
We continue to review government guidance for educational and childcare settings to understand what protective measures are needed to offer a safe experience for children, parents and coaches. Below are the key adaptations and protective measures we will implement.
Steps we are taking to keep everyone safe:
1. No half day bookings allowed. Full days only and ideally in consecutive blocks of 3 days or 5 days for example.
2. Maximum of 30 children per day. Increased Staffing and small group coaching.
Reduced availability so we can manage the groups effectively and ensure there is enough space for all to be socially distanced. Book soon to avoid disappointment.
3. Programme adjustments
We will also be outdoors for as much of the day as possible, and will adjust every activity to meet the latest guidance. Based on current guidance, young children are allowed to play indoors for example, a well ventilated sports hall. Doors will be kept open to allow for a constant flow of fresh air.
5. Gloves and face masks
All staff will wear masks. Gloves and masks when administering first aid.
6. Thorough hand washing and sanitiser stations
Every child and coach will be asked to wash their hands thoroughly between each activity. Soap will be readily available in the sports hall change rooms. Hand sanitiser will be accessible at the main entrance door for every child to use when they enter and leave Kruger Camp. Coaches will also be issued with personal hand sanitiser.
7. Parents to drop off and collect in the car park.
8. Ensure that no one on site is displaying any symptoms
Anyone displaying Coronavirus symptoms will be required not to come to camp until they have met the self-isolation or testing requirements. Should anyone show symptoms whilst at Kruger Camp, we have isolation protocols which will be implemented.
9. Contactless payments
Please note: we will be operating a cash/cheque free environment. Payments to be made through online the online booking system which can be found on the main website or through Class4Kids.
10. Lunch and snack times
Lunch and snack times will be staggered and enjoyed outside where and if possible. In addition, lots of hand washing will take place before and after these.
11. More time at the start and end of the day for additional cleaning requirements. 9:00 drop off and 15:30 collection.
12. Enhanced cleaning routines
Touch hotspots will be regularly cleaned with disinfectant wipes. Equipment will also be cleaned/disinfected at the end of each activity. Surfaces will be cleaned before and after use, and cleaning regimes will take place at the end of every day.
13. Kruger Camps have a detailed risk assessment in place.
